Michelle, Washington state's oldest and most acclaimed winery has built a reputation for wonderful. affordable wines. In my opinion, their brut sparkling white at about nine dollars a bottle is superior to any other in its price range. Now this wine maker is offering up 1.5L varietal wines under the name Stimson Estate Cellars. If the chardonnay is any indication—these wines offer tremendous value. This mouth-filling, juicy Chardonnay is loaded with a ripe, concentrated, tropical fruit character. Malolactic fermentation and sur lie aging contribute to creaminess and a lingering finish. All in all, a very well balanced wine. Should be a terrific accompaniment to light summer grill fare.
